What we believe...

Our church is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention as well as our local branch called the Waccamaw Baptist Association. We seek to honor God's word as true and authoritative in our lives. We seek to be clear where scripture is clear and leave room for the conscience and faith of those who may disagree with us on non-primary issues. For information on our beliefs, please look at the Baptist Faith & Message 2000 here.

Key Theological Beliefs
God
The Bible
We believe God is the creator of the world and all that is in it. As the creator He has authority over all He has made. We believe in the Trinity, that there is one God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the authority of the Bible as the inspired Word of God. The Bible is sufficient, necessary, and clear for the salvation of mankind and to lead us in living God-honoring lives.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone. This is a great work of God by grace alone and not of our good works.
The Sacraments
We believe in the importance of baptism and the Lord's Supper as symbols of our faith. We seek to practice both regularly in faith and anticipation of the Lord's return.
We believe in the second coming of Christ, who is coming back for His bride, the church. When he does He will usher in the New Creation and complete the final judgment upon His return.
